Supporting Community Goals [Webinar Recording]
Integrating your online community and digital communications is an effective way to increase engagement. We hosted a webinar, Supporting Community Goals Using the Higher Logic Integration, this week with presenters; Peter Nelson, VP of Product at Informz, Bobby Kaighn, Director of Partnerships at Higher Logic and Andy Duncan, Director, Member Relations at NHPCO. They walked us through how to:
- Identify new community engagement opportunities.
- Save time with targeted mailings and triggering campaigns.
- Optimize your member outreach with Informz for Higher Logic.
One of the best strategies for building your own communications and engagement platform is to embrace a “best of breed” approach between your community, your database and Informz. Doing so lets you have tools optimized for a particular task while still working in concert to fuel your greater goal. In the webinar, Andy Duncan from the National Hospice Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) discussed his creative solution to boost engagement for his members. Andy leveraged demonstrated engagement activities in his Higher Logic community to then offer more targeted outreach using Informz. The result is more members being aware of more resources and peer support made available by their NHPCO membership.
This webinar is sure to get you thinking about ways you can improve your community and email engagement.
Problem to Solve?
Research the gaps between what your people say and what they do. How are people communicating and interacting with your online community? Is there a problem to solve?
Opportunity for Efficiency?
Identify if you have an integration opportunity to pull together your “best of breed” tools. Is there an opportunity for greater efficiencies? Let’s be honest, isn’t there always an opportunity for greater efficiencies? Take a look at your tools to evaluate ways to optimize your usage of them and get the most out of your marketing tools.
Do Gaps Exist?
Discuss the value of cross marketing to your active membership, with your marketing colleagues. What gaps exist? There are likely areas with lots of room to increase communications. Think about how you are currently communication with your members. What are you telling them versus what information is important to them? Are there areas of interest that they are not being addressed?
Access data based on demonstrated actions to enhance your engagement offerings. Can you take community activities and make them target groups for your emails? This will allow you to group people by areas of interest and send them the information that they clearly are interested in.
